The MVI56E-61850S Ethernet Communication Module allows Rockwell Automation® ControlLogix® PACs to emulate Intelligent Electronic Devices on an IEC 61850 Ethernet network to SCADA systems. Now your non-smart electrical substation devices, such as transformers and switchgear, can present their data as IEC 61850 IEDs to the SCADA system. The module comes with an Add-On Instruction to be used with RSLogix™ 5000/Studio 5000™ for easier configuration and setup. Remote diagnostics of the unit can be viewed through controller tags in your ControlLogix® processor, reducing downtime.
