The ProLinx Modbus Plus to ASCII Generic Serial Gateway creates a powerful connection between devices on a Modbus Plus network and ASCII input devices. This stand-alone DIN-rail mounted protocol gateway provides one Modbus Plus configurable DB9F port and up to four ASCII configurable serial ports. The Modbus Plus protocol driver supports both Master and Slave implementations of the protocol on the DB9 Female Modbus Plus port. The Modbus Plus port is fully configurable. The ASCII protocol driver permits the module to interface to many ASCII devices. Each ASCII port on the module is configurable to send and/or receive ASCII strings, each supporting its own individual serial network.
