The IEC 60870-5-104 Server to PROFIBUS DP Slave Gateway creates a powerful connection between devices on an IEC 104 network and PROFIBUS DP Master devices. This stand-alone DIN-rail mounted gateway provides one PROFIBUS DP-V0 Slave DB9F port and one IEC 104 Server Ethernet port. The 104S gateway accepts and responds to commands from a network-connected Client (Master) and can also autonomously generate unsolicited messages for cyclic or event-driven data transmission. Firmware versions 3.00 and later support a wider range of IEC 60870-5-104 Edition 2 data types and Causes of Transmission than previously offered. The PROFIBUS Slave protocol supports the PROFIBUS DP-V0 implementation, providing powerful data transfer capability between the ProLinx gateway and a PROFIBUS DP Master. With relatively few options to adjust, the PROFIBUS DP Slave configuration is quick, simple, and easily accomplished using the provided ProSoft Configuration Builder software.
